DJ Stevie Ray
Hi, my name is Stevie Ray. I am the Owner/Entertainer of Stevie Ray Entertainment. I have been entertaining crowds as a DJ since 1988, when I got my first job as a DJ at Skateaway in Whitehall, PA (now called the Whitehall Family Skating Center).
In 1992 I met a man who became a close friend of mine, he was Tony D of Holiday Sounds Mobile Entertainment. At the time I asked him if he was looking for any DJ’s, and he offered me a job. I worked for Tony from 1992 until the end of 2010, along the way learning from Tony, and his team of DJ’s, different techniques and methods for entertaining a successful event. During my years with Holiday Sounds, I also took the time to learn about the business side of the entertainment business. Some of the most important things I learned were how planning and client relations are some of the most intricate parts of running a successful event.
In 2010, I felt it was time to move on. I wanted to do things a little differently. I wanted to offer something a little more unique. I wanted to be more than your typical Wedding/Event DJ. So I took my knowledge and emptied my bank account, and started Stevie Ray Entertainment.
I still thirst for knowledge, and know I can improve. For these reasons I joined N.A.M.E (The National Association of Mobile Entertainers) and EPMEN (Eastern Pennsylvania Mobile Entertainers Network). I attend monthly meetings hosted by these groups where we have seminars presented by some of the most highly successful entertainers in the country. I also attend national conventions for Mobile Entertainers. The vast knowledge I absorb at these seminars benefits you as the client, as I am always evolving, always improving.
